Wine-Specific Conditions
Legal Requirements
You must be 18 years of age or older to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Shared Harvest Project. Wines purchased from Shared Harvest Project are not for resale, and are for personal consumption only.
Credit Card Charges
Orders are by credit card only. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
Minimum Purchase
No minimum purchase is required.
Wine is a Delicate Commodity
Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. Shared Harvest Project is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
Terms of Donatable Money
Shared Harvest Project has been established in partnership between Langmeil Winery and its charity partners to direct a portion of sales revenue towards charitable causes.
-
Donation Mechanism: A percentage of the sale price of each product sold through the Shared Harvest Project website is set aside as a donation ("Donatable Money") to the charity partner(s) associated with that product or campaign, as identified on the relevant product page at the time of purchase.
-
Payment Plan: Langmeil Winery and the charity partners have agreed upon a payment schedule under which accumulated Donatable Money is transferred to the relevant charity partner(s). This schedule is set and reviewed from time to time by agreement between Langmeil Winery and each charity partner.
-
Charity Compliance: All donations collected and distributed through Shared Harvest Project are managed in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and other applicable Australian charity and fundraising laws. Charity partners featured on this website are registered with the ACNC.
-
Tax Deductibility: Where a charity partner holds Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, donations made through Shared Harvest Project may be tax-deductible. A receipt will be issued by the relevant charity partner (or by Shared Harvest Project on their behalf) for eligible donations. You should seek your own independent taxation advice regarding the deductibility of any donation.
-
No Guarantee of Amount: The Donatable Money percentage applicable to each product is displayed on the relevant product page and may vary between products, campaigns, or charity partners, and may be changed by Langmeil Winery from time to time without affecting orders already placed.
-
Non-Refundable Donations: Once Donatable Money has been transferred to a charity partner in accordance with the agreed payment schedule, it cannot be refunded or reallocated. This does not affect your separate rights, if any, under our Refund & Returns Policy in relation to the product itself.
-
Use of Funds: Langmeil Winery is not responsible for how a charity partner subsequently applies or uses donated funds once transferred, and makes no representation as to the specific programs or outcomes those funds will support beyond what is stated by the charity partner.
-
Reporting: Charity partners remain responsible for their own ACNC reporting obligations. Langmeil Winery maintains records of Donatable Money collected and transferred in connection with Shared Harvest Project for its own compliance purposes.
